How much does an online doctor consultation cost?
The exact consultation fee is shown clearly when you book — the price you see is the price you pay. Prescriptions, sick certs and referral letters are included where clinically appropriate. There are no subscriptions or hidden admin fees. Medication itself is paid separately to your pharmacy.
Can I get a sick cert online?
Yes. After a genuine video consultation, if the GP considers a medical certificate clinically appropriate, your cert is emailed the same day as a PDF showing the doctor's name and IMC registration — accepted by Irish employers and colleges. Certs are never issued without a real doctor–patient consultation.
Can the doctor prescribe medication?
For many conditions, yes — prescriptions are issued where clinically appropriate and sent electronically to your chosen Irish pharmacy. Booking does not guarantee a prescription. GPLine does not prescribe controlled drugs, sedatives, sleeping tablets or medications with a risk of dependence.
